Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Volume 1

Japanese Isekai Light Novel

Written by: Hiro Ainana

In classic isekai fashion, our overworked protagonist, Satou, is magically transported to a fantastical world of magic and monsters after meeting his untimely end from the unhealthy death march to finish debugging a game before its scheduled release. Unlike most other protags though, he isn’t summoned as some legendary hero or chosen to fill a special role, like a Dungeon Master. No, he simply finds himself in a rocky land, surrounded by high level lizard men intent on his death. Oh, and he’s level 1. Rough.

Fortunately, he does have one thing going for him. In a moment of desperation, he activates the only spell he has available and from the sky appears a swarm of meteors! They rain down on the landscape, destroying everything in their radius be they lizard men or even … a dragon god?

And well, that’s how Satou managed to get to level 314 in an instant. Not bad, considering even the legendary heroes summoned to save the world during times of catastrophe struggle to reach level 100.

In fact, Demon Lords are nothing more than a mild inconvenience, and even the machinations of fickle gods are tolerable at that level! But there’s one problem. Being a hero would be annoying.

So, not wanting to have his vacation in this new world ruined, he takes on the alias of a merchant and vows to keep his strength a secret to avoid being forced into a death march to save the world! Now if only the Demon Lords and annoying gods would stop appearing and ruining his time off!

Well, at least it’s mostly peaceful, and along the way, he picks up a gaggle of girls. A busty blonde, a questionably marriage-age teen, and a whole armful of lolis! There’s something for everyone in this slice-of-life adventure isekai! if you like slower, more laid back stories, and a thick layer of anime tropes, then I highly recommend you check it out on Amazon!
